Giclée on Canvas/Paper
Chromaco's Giclée art prints are produced on archival quality media, much like original oil or watercolor paintings. This gives each piece a similar look and feel to the original work of art, since Giclée quality is visually superior to other common printmaking methods. All media are pre-treated for use with the Giclée inkjet process to produce brilliant, velvety colors.
Canvas Independent, third-party testing of the color fastness of Chromaco prints using pigmented ink on canvas confirms print life spans of 80-100+ years with no noticeable fade (under proper storage/display conditions). Our most popular glossy canvas is a 14 oz poly/cotton base product at 18-mil thickness and 425gsm weight. We also use a durable water-resistant 12-oz poly/cotton canvas at 18.5-mil thickness and 346gsm weight. All canvas prints are coated with a UV-protecting, non-yellowing top-coat (varnish) for additional surface and color protection. |

Paper We offer a variety of paper media, from heavy-weight fine art watercolor stock (textured and smooth), to glossy photo and matte papers. All paper prints are archival quality media with great color, and with our pigmented inks will be color-protected for 50-200 years (depending on media, and with proper storage/display conditions). All paper prints should be protected from moisture with glass, and you should never expose any type of artwork to prolonged sunlight or other harsh conditions. |
