chromaco art

Dear valued artists and the Hawai'i art community, it is with heavy hearts that we must announce the closure of our popular art scanning and printing business, Chromaco. Despite our utmost efforts to weather the storm, we find ourselves at a crossroads. The Iwilei commercial building where we've been located for 21+ years was recently sold to the City & County of Honolulu for a planned affordable housing complex, leaving us the daunting prospect of relocating and reinvesting in a new workspace. Additionally, the impact of COVID-19 over the last few years affected retailers, the weak Japanese yen has slowed valuable Japanese tourism, and the devastating Lahaina fire just last year have all significantly impacted the local art industry, making it increasingly challenging to sustain and grow our art production services.

While we are deeply saddened by this decision, we are immensely grateful for the unwavering support and camaraderie we've experienced throughout our journey. Our passion for art and the local Hawaii community will forever endure, and although this chapter of life may be closing, we cherish the relationships gained, the memories created and all the beautiful Hawaii art we helped share with the world. Thank you for being a part of our story, its been a great ride for the last 23 years.
