In honor of International Women’s Day, Chromaco would like to acknowledge the brilliant community of female artists here in Hawaii. Women continue to be underrepresented and undervalued as professional artists, and often face additional challenges when pursuing the recognition they deserve. In an effort to level the playing field, Chromaco is investing in the professional goals of Hawaii’s female artists.
We’re looking for emerging female visual artists in the community who will benefit professionally from free printing/scanning services, art business consultation, and/or exposure through our new partner, 808Arts.com. (808Arts.com is a resource for all Hawaii artists – be sure to check out their Artist Directory!)
The Prizes.
First Prize
- $800 credit for Chromaco scanning & printing services
- Up to 4 hours of individually tailored art business consulting from Black Sand Publishing
- ‘Emerging Artist’ exposure on 808Arts.com
Second & Third Prizes
- $800 credit for Chromaco scanning & printing services
- Up to 4 hours of individually tailored art business consulting from Black Sand Publishing
The Details.
- Applicants must:
- be female artists living in Hawaii
- have goals to pursue art as a profession
- be actively working on growing their art business
- Entries must be submitted before Midnight HST on Monday, March 8th
- Winners will be selected the week of March 8th
- Winners agree to the use of their image and name by Chromaco & 808Arts.com for marketing purposes
